FREEHOLD – For the first time ever the Latino Festival of western
Monmouth County will be held in downtown Freehold on Oct. 4 from 11 a.m.
to 7 p.m. The event coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month. The festival
will be held in the Monmouth County Hall of Records Annex parking lot,
Main Street.

In the event of rain the festival will be held on Oct. 11.

“This is a very important day for the Latino community of western
Monmouth County,” said Lazaro Cardenas, co-chairperson of the Latino
Festival committee. “The Latino community has contributed so much
culturally and economically to the region that it is only right they
have a day to celebrate their accomplishments. While the focus is on
Latino culture, we want everyone to participate in the day-long
festivities.
