Salsa in New Jersey has a long and illustrious tradition.  Many of our top salsa stars are either from New Jersey or the New York tri-state area.  And of course Orquesta Rumba Con Son is based in New Jersey.

While doing research on the history of Salsa in New Jersey, I came across ScarletMambo.com and found that had beat me to the punch and in grand fashion.

Although the article is not strictly about the History of Salsa in New Jersey, it is a fascinating look at the tradition of Salsa in New York and you can’t get much closer to New Jersey than that!  Plus, they have videos!
